Gilbert once said that "Ribbentrop seemed like a confused and demoralized opportunist." Ribbentrop was a very well kept man who really liked his job, but once he was placed in prison after his trial he started acting very "irritated and confused often" said some fellow prisoners. Joachim- I didn’t see the point. He was Germany’s leader and by that point everyone was following him including me so it wouldn’t have done anything but get me killed.
Emma- So you don’t think you would have got anyone on your side if you would’ve spoke out against Hitler
Joachim- No, and I had no intentions to speak out against him, he was my leader and still is.
Emma-You say he is still your leader, but he is dead.
Joachim- He is still my leader, because I am not going to ever take orders from anyone else whether Hitler is dead or alive.
Emma-Ok, so what do you think about your lawyers comment.
Joachim- I think he is right, and he did a nice job showing that because now he got me executed.
Emma- About the execution, how do you feel about that/
Joachim- I think I did it all for my country and I will die for my country. What’s the difference if I spend my next years in the ground with my ruler or stuck in a jail cell?

Joachim- I figured I might as well get their input on everything before I go and die.

Joachim- Well I assisted my ruler by helping deport Jews to Concentration camps in the east.
Emma- So you think it was necessary for Jews to be sent to Concentration camps and Death Camps.

Joachim- neither did Hitler but just as Hitler once said. Our job is to set the world up to be ruled by Aryans, and then die so they can once replace us.
